Fishing permitted from Kiholo Bay, north to Kauna Point, south.
All boats must start EACH DAY from the designated start line from lighthouse to Kona Hilton. Late starts must come to the starting line and start from there.
All fish must be weighed on the day caught.
Fish must be brought at Kailua Pier by water, not trucked in.
All fish must be weighed at the Kailua pier by an Official Weigh Master.
Team with largest combined weight of two or more different flag fish (Marlin, Ahi, Mahimahi, and Ono) with the minimum of two qualifying weight will win Grand Champion. EACH TEAM SHALL BE LIMITED TO ONE WIN EXCEPT GRAND CHAMPION.
Marlin - 150 lbs.
Ahi - 100 lbs.
Ono - 20 lbs.
Mahimahi - 15 lbs.
Aku - 10 lbs.
Fighting fish in Pole Holder allowed.
Monofilament and multifilament lines of maximum 130# test allowed.
Power driven reels of any kind are PROHIBITED. This includes hydraulic motor reels, electric reels, or any device that gives the angler and unfair advantage of reels designed to be cranked with both hands at the same time are PROHIBITED.
Claw hooks are not permitted.
Hookless lures (nylon rope) are PROHIBITED.
In case of a fish of equal weight, the fish weighed in first shall win.
Bait caught for live bait or chum must be caught after start fishing each day. No dead or live bait allowed on board until after start fishing. No passing of any bait between boats.

Mutilation of the fish, such as bites from sharks, mammals, propeller damage, or anything that would seriously affect the fighting ability of the fish.
Fish either not called into Tournament Control or not reported in round up.
In case a team loses total VHF radio and phone contact with Tournament Control they must be at the pier prior to stop fishing in order for their fish to qualify.

Such as boat size over 23’6” (measured from bow to engine/leg mount). Or anything deemed by the board to be against the spirit of the tournament.
You must secure daily with tournament control. This is for your safety. If you do not secure, we will assume you are in distress and call the coast guard for assistance.
